We began Elyo with a single conviction: that beautiful things do not need to be careless things. That a candle can smell extraordinary and still be made from ingredients that are honest, clean, and considerate of the world around them.
We are not a brand built on certifications or eco-credentials. We are a brand built on the belief that doing things well — slowly, thoughtfully, with the right materials and the right people — is the most sustainable thing a business can do. Quality is a form of responsibility.

Inside every candle
What goes inside.
The Wax
We use a premium blend of natural soy wax — sustainably sourced, free from paraffin, and selected for a clean, even burn. No petroleum, no synthetic additives. Just a base that respects your home and the air inside it.
The Fragrance
Our fragrance accords are developed with experienced perfumers using a combination of natural botanical extracts and carefully selected, skin-safe fragrance compounds. All conform to IFRA standards. We do not use phthalates, carcinogens, or substances that compromise the safety of your home.
The Wick
Every Elyo candle is fitted with an unbleached, natural cotton wick. No lead, no zinc, no metal core. They burn cleanly, produce minimal soot, and are fully biodegradable. A small detail that matters more than it sounds.
How we make them
Made slowly. On purpose.
Every Elyo candle is hand-poured in small batches. We chose this deliberately — not as a romantic detail, but because it is the only way to maintain the level of quality we insist on. Each pour is controlled by hand. Each candle is inspected before it leaves.
Small-batch production means lower output and higher care. It means we never scale faster than our quality allows. It also means less waste — because everything we make is made with intention, not volume.
What surrounds it
Nothing wasted.
We approached our packaging with the same philosophy as our candles: beautiful, considered, and nothing excessive. Every element has a purpose. If it did not need to be there, we removed it.
Our vessels are designed to be kept. Not discarded. We hope they find a second life in your home — as a vessel for flowers, pencils, or simply as an object worth holding on to.

Honest about where we are.
We will not claim to be perfect. No brand making physical products is. What we will claim is that we take this seriously — that we keep looking at what we do and asking how we can do it better.

We share what we know and what we are still learning. We would rather be honest about our limitations than overstate our impact.
Progress
We are continuously reviewing our supply chain, materials, and processes. Every year, we aim to make at least one meaningful improvement — and we hold ourselves to that.
Intention
Every decision we make — from the wax we use to the box we ship in — is made with awareness of its impact. We are not always right. But we are always asking.
Longevity
The most sustainable thing a luxury object can do is last. We make candles that burn slowly, feel considered, and stay in homes long after they are finished — because the vessel deserves a second life.
